In 2000, when Jared Miles first joined The Brooks Group as a consultant, the company had one server running every application. Since that time, Jared has become a full-time employee (since 2002) and managed an exponential growth in the company’s information technology infrastructure. Today, Jared continues to be instrumental in ensuring that The Brooks Group stays at the forefront of advances in all areas of information technology, and that we provide those valuable resources – in a user-friendly manner – to our clients.
Jared’s responsibilities now include running multiple application servers, more than two dozen personal computers, a variety of software applications, telephone lines, and a fully equipped audio and video recording studio. In addition, he leads the team that builds The Brooks Group's web-based technologies, making sure our popular Internet-enabled Coaching and Metrix reinforcement programs run smoothly and offering technical support for clients using those programs.

Jared is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), a Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I), as well as Compaq ASE, Citrix, and A+ Hardware certified. But this humble Idahoan probably won’t mention his exhaustive list of computer certifications; he’s more likely to talk about Preston High (made famous by Napoleon Dynamite) and the fact that, just like the character in the movie, he too worked at Wrightwood Eggs – for one whole day. |
Jared spends his non-work hours enjoying the company of his family: wife, Betsy; son, Nathan; and daughter, Rachel. But like most other computer geeks, when the rest of the family is asleep, Jared is often online playing Halo. He maintains a blog called juryriggin’ because this self-avowed gear head says, “I love to see the way people fix things in a pinch." He also is involved with his church, leading camping expeditions and other events for youth. |
