Laura Hamilton rejoined The Brooks Group in 2007 and now stands as COO. Her background in speaking, training and consulting greatly benefits both The Brooks Group’s clients and our staff.
It was Bill’s vision that Laura return to assist in guiding The Brooks Group’s continued success. As a professional speaker and trainer for over 25 years, she brings a wealth of experience in sales, communication skills and customer service. Laura hopes to carry on the important work of impacting our clients’ lives in these areas of interest.
Laura earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Speech Communications at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 1983, she became Bill Brooks’ first employee when she joined The Brooks Group as Vice President of Marketing. After working with Bill for four years, she left to pursue her own speaking, training and consulting business. During those years she earned her Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association (NSA), which exemplifies continued success in the professional speaking business. The CSP is awarded to fewer than 10% of professional speakers worldwide. |
Laura likes to spend time with her husband, Stuart, in their quiet country home. They love to play golf and watch sports on television (of course, she is never allowed to touch the remote). Crocheting and gardening are passions for Laura. She also enjoys coaching and mentoring speakers at all levels of success. She serves as the Executive Secretary for the NSA/Carolinas Chapter. As Laura sees it, life is sweet! |
