Sylvia has been a part of The Brooks Group’s Operations team for the past 8 years. In her current role, she handles every aspect of assessment administration for nearly 175 assessments per week. For Sylvia, that means getting a lot of links, codes and assessment reports into the hands of our clients quickly because she likes to make sure they have what they need right away.
Sylvia loves to learn and eagerly takes on new responsibilities and challenges. She started with The Brooks Group as Shipping Coordinator, and then moved on to coordinating programs and seminars. She says she enjoys her current job the most because of the satisfaction she gets from interacting with clients and helping them find information and solve problems. Behind Sylvia’s quiet and modest nature are a quick intelligence and a deep understanding of our business. As Bill Brooks was always fond of saying, “She’s bright and she can connect the dots!”
A former professional student, Sylvia attended UNC-Asheville, Guilford College, and UNC-Greensboro. She’s a jack-of-all-trades with an Associate’s Degree in electronics and previous career experiences as widely divergent as engineering technician with AT&T and book store sales associate. |
Sylvia is an avid reader and the most likely person to be found reading great literature in The Brooks Group’s courtyard on her lunch break. She’s also a crossword puzzle enthusiast, history buff and Harry Potter fan. When she’s not at work, Sylvia enjoys the company of boyfriend, Mark, and her two kitties, Mattie and Sammy. She also likes to travel and spend time with her sister and best friend, Andrea. |
