Marketing says: It’s hot, it’s fast and there are only five of them in world!
Sales says: It can be yours for a cool $2mil!
You say: I’ll take it!
Then you say: Hey! This doesn’t work!
Customer service says: We’re sorry. The number you have dialed has been disconnected.
The owner of a car dealership in L.A. is suing Mercedes-Benz because, he says, the car he bought “now represents nearly $2 million of scrap metal.” A story like this can’t be good for a car manufacturer that represents luxury, service and style.
