Don’t Think Outside of the Box … Throw Out the Damn “Box”!!!

I will no longer do business with indifferent companies!!!
Don’t people get it when it comes to customer service? Can’t they connect the dots that exceptional customer service can be the difference between success and failure????
I was at a well-known hotel chain in a major city doing a sales training program and went to check out at 5:30am. I approached the desk and a young man with “Assistant Manager” on his name tag was standing behind the desk looking down at his computer. I approached the desk and he didn’t even acknowledge I was standing right in front of him. 22 seconds passed by (there was a clock on the wall behind him) before he looked up with the expression on his face “what do you want” (never uttering a sound.) There are way too many choices of hotels who want my business and I will not use that ‘comfortable’ hotel again.
Do you expect excellent customer service as a consumer? Are you exceptional in what you do? No, not just very good, but EXCEPTIONAL??? One of my clients is BankAtlantic with over 80 stores in Florida. Yes, I said “stores”, not “branches.” Why? They threw out “the box” and decided to do business when it’s convenient for their customers. Their “stores” are open from 8:00am to 11:00pm seven days a week!!! What a concept!!! They are the fastest growing bank in the country right now … I predict this will trend across the country.
What would your customers say about you?????
